First Sunday of Advent

Almighty God, give us grace that we may cast away the works of darkness, and put upon us the armour of light, now in the time of this mortal life in which Thy Son Jesus Christ came to visit us in great humility; that in the last day, when he shall come again in his glorious majesty to judge both the quick and the dead, we may rise to the life immortal; through him who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Ghost, one God, now and for ever. Amen

End of School Terms

Finally, its the end of school terms 2010! I am thankful to Almight God for all the things that He has done in my life this year. I have a very fruitful year with my Form Class, 5N1, and I really appreciate what they have done during their Graduation Ceremony. I am so thankful for each and individual one of them. It has also been a very fruitful year for the NE Committee. We have really done alot to make the school a much more NE savvy place for the kids. My school had our first muscial concert just a couple of weeks ago. It was a big step and I am sure that the Lord our God will continue to lead us to more steps of faith.

The 11th Coy once again received JM Fraser Gold for the year 2009 and we have three Founders’. We have also gotten a gold honour roll for both AQ and CQ. We have also made very good progress during the recent 8th BB Pipes and Drum Festival. I am so thankful to God that He has done so many things and without Him we can do nothing. In fact, I stand in awe of all His works and wonders.

The past few weeks I have been meeting up with good, old (young) friends and its been very warmth and meaningful for me. When was the last time we met in this manner….wow….I don’t think I dare to count. Its amazing how though we seldom meet one another, we can still be so candid with one another. That goes to show how much of bonding we had during our formative years. We have really journeyed through many thicks and thins. We have travelled together through many journeys and the Lord was with us all. May the Lord continue to travel with us and that none of us will lose sight of Him as we progress in life.

Next year the school will have lots of changes. We will be expecting a new Vice Principal and I am sure with this new leadership things will be slightly different. Of course, the Principal will still be setting the direction and the focus for the school. I pray that God will give us many more good years in the school.

As for me now, I am enjoying my holidays and will flying off to Australia, Melbourne this coming Saturday.

That’s all for now….
